Gabby here,
On this beautiful Monday morning before this first quarter ends I want us all to take a second and reflect. You are a beautiful being who is making an impact on this world, whether you see it or not. I am not sure which season of your business you are in, regardless of how long you've been in business we all experience a phase in which we feel the business isn't what it truly should be. At times, these feelings can cause an entrepreneur to quit cold turkey. Packing away their business for months or even years at a time. That is simply a part of your entrepreneurial journey, but it is not a dead end. Now that I have the experience I do, I am here to tell you there is no magic potion to making those feelings go away. Whenever those feelings overcome me, I promise myself to be like water. To go with the waves and see which shells and fish they throw onto the shore, learn and heal and then go back out with the tide. Entrepreneurship is a journey to self love and extreme self growth in case you haven't figured it out yet. (The growing pains can be real sometimes!!!) One tip I can give you, is that having a solid business foundation as well as a mentor/coach on your side can help you work through these emotions and events tremendously. I often see people investing in courses and classes that may not have the desired outcome that is being sold because the purchasers has no real business foundation. Think who, what, where, why. Those basic business questions not being answered need to be the first course taken!! What is your mission babe? Who are you meant to serve? Just like when you build a house, build your foundation first. o not get engulfed by sales. Avoid obsessing over Instagram likes and follows. Build. Your. House. Not the garage. Not the landscaping. Building a business foundation isn't pretty, but it is absolutely necessary. To all my biz owners: If this quarter brought you reflection into your business, I honor your growth. If this quarter caused you to press pause on your business, I honor your journey. If this quarter was your best yet, I honor the discipline you put in behind the scenes. If this quarter wasn't what you wanted it to be, on Thursday we receive the gift of a brand spanking new quarter. Promising to usher in growth and abundance, new connections, new highs and new lows. NONE OF THIS MAKES YOU A FAILURE. You are a growing business. Now go out and seize the day!!! Love, Gabby, your biz coach

If you are reading this and have been holding yourself back because of your own insecurities or doubts.. come grab my hand.
After this Wednesday's group call with Paul Klein, he said, "All ships rise in a rising tide." He also brought up this photo of Michael Phelps. Which person are you and who do you surround yourself with? The one always watching others win, or the one taking the risks to succeed? So often we surround ourselves with people who comfort our decisions or choices in life. They provide validation that it's ok if you don't grow or.. it's amazing that you do grow. My challenge to you as we enter the second quarter of 2021, audit your team. Take a deep dive and be sure that as you grow, you've maintained a support group that actually wants to see you succeed and grow. For those who have been hustling alone because of being burned by a past friend or colleague, maybe it's time to come out. Maybe, just maybe, there's a group out there with the sole purpose of 0surrounding you with love and support as you push towards that next level. If you are searching for a community like that, let me shamelessly plug my mastermind group or really any event or workshop I run. LOVE, Gabby B, the Biz Coach supporting you in building that business and achieving your goals In honor of International Women's Day being yesterday I wanted to share my thoughts on entrepreneurship. More importantly, the topic of support. I guess let's grab a microscope and take a peek at the support an entrepreneur receives once they make the "big announcement".
I came into this game in 2017 at 22 when I stepped up to build The Vault Music Studio with my now husband, Tyler. I had a full time job offer with a big 4 accounting firm upon graduating with my Master's in 2018, but once I graduated I knew that sitting behind a desk crunching numbers for big corporations was simply not where my heart resided. It didn't light me up. It didn't excite me. The only thing that excited me was the financial gains, however I knew those would come with several sacrifices. My family and friends were shocked at my decision to let that job go, I honestly felt like no one supported or understood me, none the less did anyone want to have a nice conversation about my future. My dreams. My aspirations. Flash back to starting The Vault, days of all-nighters, mitigating big changes, initiating strategies, watching our numbers, I realized the ones I loved had warned me about all the wrong things. "You won't get consistent income." "That won't last long." The most painful of all, "Get a REAL job." I have worked my a$$ off over the past 4 years, and even before then. NO being an entrepreneur is not a walk in the park. I know that many would take the comfort and security of a full-time job over this any day. So.. here's to us. The underdogs. The ones counted out. The ones that were whispered about. "Will they make it?" " They must be broke by now." Big question, if you want to know where I am headed.. just ask. Then support. Then repeat that cycle for all the entrepeneurs in your life who constantly feel unsupported by the ones they love the most. So to answer if I will ever get a REAL job? Nope. I'm still here. I will make it. I will fight with everything I've got to help my fellow small biz owners start and scale their businesses. I am not in this for the money, I am in it to change the world. Grab a seat, pick your popcorn toppings and a drink. I am not going anywhere, and neither are you. This world is OURS. Our future is in OUR HANDS. Let's get to building. Love you all tremendously, we can and will make an impact with our businesses, now is never the time go give in to comfort. Your Biz Coach Gabby B. |
